Castro Beach joins the circuit as one of the new venues for the Iberian Windsurf Cup 2026. Located on the Galician coast, this spot has already hosted various windsurfing, windfoiling and wingfoiling regattas, becoming an increasingly well-known location within wind sports.
Conditions at this time of year can vary considerably depending on the thermal wind, alternating between days of moderate wind and days of strong winds and more demanding sailing. Its orientation and sailing area allow for a very interesting race course for Slalom disciplines.
With this new venue, the Iberian Windsurf Cup continues to expand the circuit, bringing the competition to some of the most iconic spots on the Iberian Peninsula.
Castro Beach is located on the coast of Galicia and enjoys good road access from various points in northern Spain and Portugal.
The nearest airports are **Vigo (VGO)** and **Santiago de Compostela (SCQ)**, both located approximately 1 to 2 hours away by car depending on the route. Having your own or a rental vehicle is recommended to ease travel between accommodation, the competition site, and event areas.
During the event, competitors will have designated areas for equipment preparation and logistical support close to the racing area.
