Gasset Reservoir IWC 2025

Gasset Reservoir – The Grand Final

Gasset Reservoir is one of the most well-known inland spots in Castilla–La Mancha and home to the traditional “Cheese Regatta,” one of the most iconic windsurfing events in Spain.

  • The day before the event: 15–20 knots blew in, leaving a great feeling for the start of the competition.

  • Official race days: However, during the official days, the wind was much more unstable and marginal, making it difficult to complete valid heats.

  • October 24: Several heats were attempted. Many remained incomplete due to lack of wind, but only one could be declared valid.

  • October 25: The situation was repeated. Several attempts were made, but only one heat was valid due to drops in intensity.

  • October 26: The wind did not pick up at any point during the day, so no races were held.

Despite the conditions, the atmosphere with the “Pantanícolas” Club and the riders was excellent, closing the final stage of the circuit.
